<p>If I am planning on transferring to Stony Brook during the fall of 2012, can i take urdu at another university (not the one I am currently enrolled at) during the summer to fulfill the stony brook language requirement?</p>
<p>If not, will there be some sort of language placement exam I can take and if I score a certain percentage, it will fulfill the requirement?</p>
<p>Yes; as long as you’re getting two semesters’ worth of the language. You could also take what we call the Challenge Exam; details are here:</p>
