Im in highschool and am wondering how many years of forign language the school wants/ how many years people took in highschool(i took french and am tryingvto go to nyu stern)

I think NYU requires 2-3 years (not sure about that) but it’s best to get 4 years. Good-luck!

I’m also in French as well, but no way am I taking AP French senior year. I will just be taking 3 years of French. My teacher is rubbish… her own son who speaks French at home got a 3 on the AP French exam and the highest grade at my school for the AP French exam was been a 3 back in 2009!

Yeah, i will have finished my second year of highschool french in a few days. The thing is i hate all the teachers and after the 3 years of middleschool french which don’t count on my transcript , im just burned out of this topic. I really dont want to take another year of french but i dont want it to be a week point in my applications for college. My highschool only requires 1 year to pass highschool but i know colleges look for more.

I took 3 years of French with no honors/AP and still got into Stern. I don’t think it’s that big a deal but if you want to do the BPE program than it makes sense to do four years.
