I have a quick question about language requirements. Let's say a college requires 2 years of foreign language for admissions. If a student took one year of foreign language in high school (Spanish 3) but took Spanish 1 and 2 in middle school, would that satisfy the admissions requirement?

Usually it’s the level competed, not the number if years completed specifically in high school. Many students start foreign language in middle school. I would call schools you are interested in and ask what their specific policy is. Some schools list ‘required’ and then ‘recommended’ which is what most competitive applicants will have completed.

thanks for the reply
