<p>when schools ask for 4 years of foreign language do they mean a language up to level 4 or specifically 4 years of foreign language in high school?</p>

<p>i did my first year of foreign language in middle school, meaning i'll have completed french 4 by the end of my junior year. but in order to get stupid random graduation requirements in, i might have to drop a class and i'm considering dropping foreign language for senior year. would it count as 4 years, or only 3?</p>

<p>yea, they basically want through fourth year, i know a couple sophomores in 4th year spanish, so they would also basically be done with the requirement.</p>
