Foreign Language Requirment and Chance me

Hello guys,
I moved to the U.S. from a foreign country 3 years ago. Farsi is my first and English my second language. Since there is no way to satisfy the language requirement with Farsi, I took two years of Spanish my junior and senior year even though it technically was my second foreign language besides English. I got 2310(2340 super score) on the sat and 800,750 on math level 2 and chemistry respectively. I have 4.0 unweighted and 4.3 weighted GPA, having taken all the ap math and science classes available. My schedule this year: Spanish 2, art, Ap bio, Ap physics C, Ap calc bc, ap Econ, regular English. All A's so far. Extra curricular wise, I've had two years to do things and the only activities I could participate in considering the problems I was facing were doing research at a UCLA lab, volunteering at the UCLA hospital for 120 hrs, and being in soccer team for 2 yrs. So my main question was can I still apply to top colleges like Harvard, Stanford, etc even though I only have two yrs of foreign language? I would appreciate it if you could also chance me for these colleges.
Thanks so much guys

Anything guys? I am waiting for some opinions.
Thanks

I do not know anything about applications. I am a prospective applicant as you but you should give it a try and write good essays. That might help you. You cannot know unless you try. Good Luck

Thanks cokane. Anyone else?

Bigtimeseller are you sure it is REQUIRED to have 4 years? They don’t have anything regarding that on their website. I mean I can still apply at least right?

And learning a English from scratch and scoring 2310 on the sat could be a wow factor maybe. :)

You should be able to test out of Foreign Language if you take a Farsi Equivalency test at a University.

Depending on how old you were when you came here. You could also have English as a second language.

You need to get an external validation of your level in Farsi. See if your (or “a”) cultural center offers an exam that would certify your level. Then you’d have two languages in which you’re totally fluent PLUS Spanish, instead of just two years of Spanish.
In addition, do you have one year in an Iranian “9th” grade with a transcript? (that would prove you’re fluent, too.)
Also, in order to validate your bilingualism and express clearly that you were ELL, take the TOEFL. (Although your CR and W scores leave no doubt it’s always good to emphasize. )
In most cases, it’s assumed that if you’re bilingual, you’ve fulfilled the FL requirement, but having a “proof” is better.

Thanks so much MYOS. I put in the common app that I speak Farsi perfectly and I’m coming from a Farsi-speaking country. There still needs to be a validation for this???

Not necessarily, but if you apply to very selective schools either ELL/TOEFL or external certification would be useful.
Not needed if you apply to schools ranked 50+.
