Foreign Language (Spanish/Chinese??) Studies!!

I'm considering minoring of double majoring one of those languages with bio or biochem-most likely Spanish though. (f.y.i I've had three years of high school Spanish..) How hard is taking on a foreign language as a major/minor?? If you've had experience I would love to hear, thanks!

Minoring in the foreign language should be no problem. It’s the double major that may give you pause. Depending on how demanding your bio or biochemistry programs are (at the schools you’re looking at) will determine whether you can devote the time for proficiency needed in the upper division Spanish literature and speaking classes.

Are you trying to teach, or work in labs overseas?

I don’t think I can afford anything overseas… so nope. But I am intending to do intensive lab/volunteer work in the states.
