<p>If you plan on taking a foreign language that you've taken in high school (foreign language is required for CAS majors, not required for SMG--check the requirements for the other schools), then you have to take the placement test.</p>
<p>Don't take any diagnostic tests if you are in COM. You will do that during orientation. They specifically tell you if you need to take them or not for other schools, I believe.</p>
<p>take it online at home and before orientation if you're in CAS.</p>
<p>do not take it online if you're in COM or SHA. you'll take it at orientation with a proctor.</p>
