<p>You were referring to generalizations of opinion, not the truth. But now you don’t care about stereotypes?</p>

<p>Language skills alone are not a predictor of intelligence…it’s something more like this (and this is a rough sketch):</p>

<p>Language skills are a form of cultural capital; High cultural capital is usually more highly correlated with family socio-economic background/affluence. Higher SES translates into higher levels of education, higher levels of (quality) education contribute to greater intelligence.</p>

<p>I recommend you read Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers. Pretty good book, and explains why Asian bilingualism influences Asians’ performance in maths and sciences. If you only speak English now (which I guess you do), you should really suck it up and stick with whatever language you’re taking now until you’re pretty fluent. See what that gives you. Chances are you will be glad you can speak that language.</p>
