Hi, the high school I attend has a pretty bad foreign language program. I took Spanish l and ll only and am worried about the placement test required before orientation. I was wondering if I get placed into a low level Spanish class, would I be better taking Latin. Does anyone know of any easy foreign language classes offered at UNC?

Portuguese has an easy reputation… Taking Latin in college if you didn’t take it in high school is going to be a steep, uphill battle.

Spanish was fine … if your school was that bad, you won’t place into upper level classes. If you sit in for a week, and it’s too hard, you can switch classes to a lower level one.
