Do they require 2 semesters of a foreign language?

It depends on your major. Some majors require three some require two. Why not just look at your academic map for your major to know for sure.

You want to major in both Theatre and Economics right?

To my knowledge, COSS (College of Social Sciences) doesn’t require any foreign language, actually, for their programs. Or at least, they don’t list it as a requirement like the College of Arts & Sciences does.

For Theatre the School of Visual Arts, Theatre and Dance requires a foreign language through the 2220 level. That’s three semesters worth (1120, 1121, 2220).

Thank you so much! I’m assuming if I did do the double major they wouldn’t take out the requirement for foreign language.

Nope. As long as one of your majors requires it, you have to take it.

I suggest you take a foreign language regardless of the requirement. It’s just a smart thing to do. Have some fun, see the world, understand another culture a little better.
