In high school, I took French. However, I live in Texas, and the language of choice for medical professions (or really for any profession) is Spanish. I'll be going to Rice University, which is in Texas. I don't know if I should continue French or start a new language- Spanish.

How important is a foreign language for medical school admissions, and are med students required to study a foreign language in Medical School? Would learning Spanish be worth it for medicine?

Thanks for your help!
