foreign language

S I took 3 years of Spanish in high school. Do I just send my high school transcript to the UCs to fulfill this requirement?

Your son will probably have to take a placement test, unless he took college courses. I do not know specifically for UCs, but that is what many schools do.

Yes you send your high school transcript in when you apply

High School transcript is fine; you don’t have to take college foreign language if you’ve had taken it before in high school.

your son? Lol but yeah they’re right^

You do NOT send in any of your transcript, unless you’re admitted. You note that you’ve taken Spanish in high school at the Additional Info section.

hey do u guys know if a placement test is also required or just the transcripts?

Is that what you do? I thought if you’d show them IGETC certification, they would already know you’d fulfilled the Foreign Language requirement. But perhaps that’s after they review your app.

IGETC certification SHOULD show that you’ve fulfilled it, but i think they also request HS transcripts just for more confirmation. authenticity and all that.
