Foreign Languages/Linguistics At NEU

I was accepted ED to NEU and was wondering if anyone had any particular insights into their foreign language/linguistics program. They seem to offer a variety but I was wondering if anyone knew the specifics of what they offered in terms of languages, if the program was decent, if there is an opportunity to develop fluency in multiple and diverse languages, and the strength of their linguistics program apart from specific languages.

Thank you!

I'd like to also know this!
And I think you meant EA ;)

I don't think linguistics is one of NU's stronger programs. I believe you can only major in spanish, and course offerings in other languages aren't that great. You can see the course listings here http://nuapps3.neu.edu/applications/cdr.nsf/weblinkcurrentundergrad?openpage .

NU does have a NUCALLS, the language and cultural club, which offers casual (not for credit) classes in a lot of different languages, so you can pick up some extra practice there, but the program itself probably isn't great.

I'm really interested in learning French/Italian in college. And perhaps continuing with Spanish as well. I love the NUCALLS option, and would probably use that for other languages. How are the courses in the standard Romance languages?
