Do any of y'all listen to foreign music, especially rap? What bands or groups would you recommend listening to?

I mainly listen to Asian music [Japanese, Korean, Chinese] and though I'm not too much of a rap fan, some m-flo [Japanese] songs are pretty tolerable. I've been really into Def Tech, a Japanese Jawaiian Reggae duo.

YAY for foreign music! I don't have to worry about being sued for downloading music.

i like listening to random foreign music too...asian, spanish, etc...but i don't really know band/singer names =/

Depends if it's licensed in the US or not. Some Japanese music has American licenses...

hey cool website..thanks emmeline

pandora.com is quite similar :)

radioblogclub is another... i think i like pandora best tho

rimi natsukawa is really famous for her style of singing, maybe you'd like to check out m-flo? and ayumi hamasaki recently came out with her new album (which is pretty solid). it's always pretty safe to go with the top 30 stuff, but then.. people like gorie and ken matsudaira get up there too so..

also, you have to check out tokyo ska paradise orchestra. it's really different

After both SMAP and Matsuken made it to the top of the Japanese charts I completely gave up on Japanese music.
