<p>haha unless you're from southern california!!! there's tons of MUN programs here, with several really powerful ones in orange county or other beach cities. some of the biggest ones have a membership of 300+. there's on average more than 1 local conference held by high schools every month too... and then there's colleges and travel conferences! </p>
<p>if your school is in california, you're in luck, cuz there's a high concentration of conferences. contrary to what confidential said, i think if you're going to start a new MUN club, i suggest trying to attend one or two local conferences first. you'll learn all the MUN stuff better/easier without having to face tough competition that will kill your delegates. but eventually, do attend a big national conference, because those are the best ones and like confidential said, they are both challenging and enlightening.</p>
