Foreign Student, Applying after HS

A bit about my story.
I recently graduated HS in Mexico. I am enrolled in a university and I'm planning on going, however I truly regret that I didn't applied for any university in the States. I really want to pursue a career in the US, so I'm thinking about applying for next year, but I'm very lost.

My IB coordinator told me that many students in my school have done this, and he also recommended me in applying as a Transfer student. The common app is closed until August, so I really don't know what is the main difference between applying as a Freshman and as a transfer student.
Plus, I'm not an American Citizen, and like I said my current university is here in Mexico so I don't know how many classes are elegible for transfer credits.

Anyways, I appreciate all the future help

If you have taken any coursework beyond high school, you have to apply as a transfer student. Depending on your coursework and your university, some of it probably wont transfer.

You need to be prepared to pay for 4 years at a university, and you should assume that you will be returning to your country for your career. If you gain entrance to a university, you need to be aware that you are asking to be educated in the US and are coming for your education, not for a career in the US.

Thanks for the info.
But why ? Is it impossible to start a career in the US?

US immigration laws are tough. Millions of people want to come to the US to live here permanently.
If your intention is to stay in the US (which you are not supposed to do according to your student Visa) you need

to be sponsored by a relative or
be sponsored by an employer who says that there are no American candidates available in the country for that position.
It is tough and difficult.
