Many people have told me that I should choose a pre-med program with a medical school in mind. Are any medical schools especially helpful to those looking for a career in forensic pathology?

It’s premature to settle on a medical specialty before you have exposure to them in medical school.

Forensic pathology is a subspecialty of general pathology. You’d need to complete medical school and do a residency before seeking out a training program in forensic pathology.
[National Association of Medical Examiners - Forensic Pathology Training Programs](http://thename.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=66&Itemid=76)

I think that it’s simply misformation to say you should choose a pre-med program with a particular medical school in mind. Pre-med requirements are pretty generic across the wide range of undergraduate schools; it’d be pretty hard to differentiate those core general science courses as being specific to any particular medical school or future medical specialty.
