I am from the US but have been interested in studying in the UK for a long time. I applied to several forensic science programs and was accepted, but I am now wondering if it will be worth it. I don’t know if the degree will transfer back to the US if I want to work there. I also don’t know if there are many jobs I can get (with a reasonable salary) with a forensic degree in the UK or anywhere else. This is my dream, and I would absolutely do anything to make it happen, I just want it to be worth it.
How will you pay for it?
What universities ?
How self reliant and academically autonomous are you?
Have you looked up the pathway to being a forensic scientist in the US?
In the UK, the advice is to actually major in a hard science such as biological sciences/ chemistry, rather than FS. Graduate studies are often needed. Starting salaries are low.

My 2 cents/pence: study biological sciences and statistics. You can do grad work in forensics - BUT if you change your career path, you UG major in hard science and stats will serve you VERY well. Advise against taking such a narrow undergraduate major.
If you attend a US college, then you can always study abroad in the UK for a year or semester
