Forensic scientists?

What major would be best if you want to become a forensic scientist? Working in the lab, solving DNA, gun, balistics, and all the evidence?

I think you might want to consider choosing a science major that is not too specific. For example, Chemistry, BioChem, Physics, Engineering, and so on. One that will give you lab experience is essential. I'm thinking about Forensics too and I'm a Chem major just in case the Forensics field doesn't pan out in the future I'd still be able to do other stuff. :)

There are some schools that offer a major in Forensic Science (look them up on p'ton review dot com). also, you can do a combination of criminology and some hard science ('hard science' as in chem, genetics, biochem, biotechnology. not 'hard' as in 'difficult'). my cousin is double majoring in criminology and toxicology with the goal of getting in forensics.
