Ugh, I’m an extemper so naturally I hate canned speeches. I also do OO (sick of it)
But anyway, I love speech and debate . :)

What’s OO? And haha, yeah they probably don’t really work for Extemp. It’d probably be easier to pull it off in Impromptu.

Original Oratory.

You mean bore-atory?? lol jkjkjkjkjkjkjk

I’ve done policy debate for 3 three years, as well as dabbling around in Congress, extemp, and OO. I absolutely love it! Thing is, debate in AK is really wierd, so traveling outside of the state to compete is tough.

liv4physics - the school’s head coach is an English teacher, but they also have lawyers help I guess once a week. I don’t even know. But some guy died and donated their program something like $10 million.

Lawyers, huh? That’s funny how they felt the need for such a specialized group of people! Our 4n6 coaches are basically just college kids who did it in HS/parents whose kids did it in HS, and English teachers at our school as well.

My debate coach/teacher could not debate or do any of the events. I taught my novice and lower varsity students.

Our league around here isn’t as competitive, but I am the captain/president of my school team! I do…

Humorous Interp.
Dramatic Interp.
Duo (of both persuasions)

I come from a theatre background, so this stuff comes so much easier for me than extemp or impromptu lol.

I forensicate! I compete in team policy and extemp.

FORENSICS!
I do extemp, public forum, impromptu, expos, and oo.

I did public forum throughout highschool, and am going to nats in Dallas this summer ;)

national circuit lincoln-douglas

kinda feel bad for teams with only speech, participating in speech (watching everyone else…standing up for ten minutes…sitting down) really sucks, L/d is so much more fun

Anyone do Michigan 4n6?
