Forget to send SAT scores

Freaking out because I forgot to send my SAT scores for regular action, I have january 1st, 2nd and 3rd deadlines. Should I rush report them? I applied to MIT, CMU, Cornell, Stanford, CalTech.

yes.

I would def rush them.

My D was very worried about this also and debated rushing. A lot of schools won’t accept scores this way because it arrives on paper and is a pain for them. Check with the schools individually, but we ordered scores on 12/28 and they uploaded on 12/31. We were shocked! College Board seems to be pushing scores out the door in a timely fashion so I wouldn’t rush unless a school tells you to. Three day turnaround is pretty good!! #:-S

Hopefully I get the same result lemontwist. CMU told me to rush them while MIT told me I could send them regular… maybe this won’t be the disaster I thought it was.

To the ones you list, you can send regular delivery and you will be fine. Scores can arrive after the application deadline. MIT and Cornell even accept the January SAT test. The others accept the December ACT, which for many test takers is not even being sent to colleges until today.

Seems like you already got in contact with the admissions reps, which is the best way of finding out what to do!

I had the same problem but it is fine. Sending SAT scores in January is no big problem as long as you send them in soon enough.
