What happens if we didn't sign the common app form? My counselor told me it didn't matter. Is this true? I don't want them to trash my app because I didn't "complete" the form.

By the way, I meant the school report form. I didn't sign two of mine.

it's not incomplete but you lose credibility. admissions officers will see that you haven't waived your rights to see recommendation letters and such and it'll look as if you have seen them already.

I disagree about losing credibility. At my school, we need to tell the teachers if the school we want recommendations for is a common app school. The guidance office gives the teachers blank recommendation forms for the common app--we don't. So we don't even have a chance to sign any of them.

My situation is similar to yours NJ. Counselors took care of everything for me on the first two. I was just.. rather shocked when they said they sent it all out, and that the signature was not a requirement.

I was told by my counselor that it won't matter because I forgot to sign off on one of the recommendations. However, I signed off on Teacher Report B and my school report (counselor recommendation). Silly, I know.
