Forgot about an in-school suspension..

Something just occurred to me. I was recently accepted at Pepperdine, and on my common application I stated that I had never been suspended from school, but I just now remembered that I had an in-school suspension during my sophomore year (I got into a verbal argument with a classmate and called him an a$$**** and a teacher heard :/ ). Would this show up on my transcript? If not, how would Pepperdine be alerted about this?

Should I be worried? Would it be smart to call up Pepperdine now and let them know before they find out from my high school? I really don't want my acceptance and/or scholarships rescinded...

I’d talk to your counselor first maybe. It shouldn’t show up on your transcript, but the counselor’s report has a place for this kinda stuff. As your counselor if she reported it, if that’s not too awkward. I really don’t think this will catch up with you, but it can’t hurt to make sure.

are you referring to my High School counselor or my counselor at Pepperdine?

High school counselor first–ask whether it was reported by HS counselor.

High School counselor. She should have submitted a “school report” to accompany your application (most schools require it… I assume Pepperdine does as well).

^^^What??? You were accepted. If something that happened 2 years ago hasn’t shown up yet, it won’t show up now. Case closed. Do nothing.

should the counselor’s report have been sent in before I was accepted though?

Yes. It was part of the application that got you accepted. Do nothing.

Thank you. Not sure if Schools double check for this kind of stuff after they accept applicants…I’m extremely paranoid when it comes to things like this >__>

Do nothing. Either they already know or they won’t know.

If you just said a bad word, I wouldn’t worry about it. The teacher overreacted IMO.

call them call them call them!!!
i was at a colege visit today and the adcom said they suspended someone and it seemed like it was because they got in trouble, didn’t report and then they got caught

call them and tell them!

Talk to your high school and see if they told Pepperdine.
If they didn’t, don’t worry about it.
