It might be a relatively small detail, but I forgot to mention that the summer research program I attended this past summer was actually free + I received a stipend. I'm not sure if this merits an additional email or not, but I'm sure this speaks to the prestige/competition involved in being accepted. Any thoughts?

It’s really small, so just let it go. Unless it’s a name-brand program (i.e. RSI, TASP, etc.), which the adcoms will know about anyway, basically any research you do is the same. What they’re looking for is that you took opportunities and did research (that you turned into a paper, put into ISEF, etc.) rather than sit around all summer.

So even better is to send them your research report abstract (then again, I didn’t take my own advice - I didn’t send my paper b/c it I thought it was really bad lol).

Hahah ok, I just didn’t want them to think I paid $1029834 just to go research at a 100% acceptance university program or whatever. I did (kinda)! I sent them an imgur link to a pdf of my scientific poster.

Nah don’t worry about it. They just want to see that the passion and intent is there.

In the end, the difference between getting in and not getting in won’t be this miniscule detail.
