So I forgot to attatch my work experience when I sent out all my stuff about two weeks ago. There is no place on the actual application for work experience, but when I looked it up on college board it says it is an important factor. I already added an extra curricular activities resume and an extra letter. At this point should I even bother sending in my work experience sheet. It is my top choice.

bump…

I would. Perhaps add it to your midyear report if you have not sent that in as yet.

I would absolutely send it in with your midyear report and even if that has been sent, you can always write a note and ask that it be added to your file. College admissions are not jerks. ANd really… while they can hold things like this against you, why would they? And is what they might hold against you more than not having turned in work experience would mean to your application as a whole?

Yeah that Sounds like something I should do. So should I just be able to give it to my guidance counselor and have them add it with it?

Yes. On the mid year report it specifically asks for things that have changed or should be added. I think this falls in that category.

Ok, only thing is this wasn’t a common app application. When I went for an interview they said they don’t have things like maximum spots for Ec’s or places to explain your EC’s because they want to see students take an initiative. I assume having work experience listed as important and not having it on the application would fall under the same category?
