I'm applying to a bunch of UCs and CSUs as a transfer student from CC, but I just realized I forgot to list a CC class I took way back in 2008, when I was still in high school. The class was not a requirement by my major, but I got a 'F' in. How much will this effect me?

You need to send that transcript. Now. Whenever you apply for admission to an accredited college or university in the US, you are obligated to provide official transcripts from every college and university you have ever attended. Good grades, bad grades, neutral grades, one year old, four year old, thirty years old, none of that matters. You have to send the transcript. Period.

Email the Us, and let them know that you hadn’t realized that you would need to send the transcript because you took the class while you were in high school, and that you are apologizing for the delay in getting it to them. Whether neglecting to send the transcript when you applied, or the grade on it, will cause trouble for you is up to each of the universities. And, if you are in the process of completing an associates degree at your current CC, the time to get that college a copy of your old transcript is yesterday.
