FORGOT to send my SAT scores!

What do I do?
I forgot to send my SAT scores to UIUC because this was the only January 1st deadline I had and the SAT site was down when I submitted my application.

They said the deadline was January 12, its already the 24th.

I already emailed my admission counselor and I'm waiting on a response, do you think I wont be considered just because my scores haven't been sent from CollegeBoard yet?
I hope not, UIUC was one of my top choices too, just that I overlooked it.

Should I rush my scores? Its electronic so I really see a need to...

Even if they do not require you to rush the scores, I would do so as a sign of good faith. There is a caveat, the manner in which some schools receive the scores make rushing moot, it would get to them in the same time frame either way. You may also want to tell/email them your scores now, and then send the scores to authenticate what you gave them. I am just a high school student, so this could be wildly incorrect. I hope you have better luck than I have in these matters

I just read on the UIUC FAQ page that they do not accept rush paper score reports and everything is accepted online…
guess ill send them tonight regardless of the reply i get from my admissions counselor. its worth a shot right?

I would call admissions and beg them for an exception. Two weeks is a pretty long time… but good luck.

Yeah i know… two weeks and today I remembered I never sent them…
Their decision comes out February 15, so I counted, and they have 20 days or so to consider me still.
If they look through applications alphabetically, my name is definitely one of the last so maybe I have a chance?
Keeping my fingers crossed, I really want to get accepted to UIUC

You probably have a chance, but no one outside of the UIUC admissions office can tell you for sure. Take a deep breath and hope. If you overanalyze you will drive yourself crazy

Email is not the preferred method for contacting the admissions office when you have missed the deadline for anything. Call them. They’ll be able to answer your question immediately.

If you have not done anything yet, go on-line and order a rush electronic delivery. UIUC does not want rush paper deliveries. Until about 3 years ago, CB sent rush scores via express mail delivery. It changed that to send rush scores electronically if the university has electronic delivery from CB (most if not all now do, UIUC included). Currently, rush delivery does not result in much time saving (only a day or two) but in your situation every day counts.

Next send an email to admissions and inform them what happened and provide your scores (you can download an unofficial copy from the CB site and possibly attach it to the email). Also, tell them you have ordered official scores sent.

What usually occurs with missing items is that they do not automatically reject you. They typically send out a notice (usually latter part of Jan) informing you that items are missing and they must be submitted immediately if you want to be considered. It does not sound like you have received that yet so you probably will be OK if you get them in now.

I didn’t send my fee waiver on time and they told me Bc of that they could not offer me admissions and that they were sorry. I told them I had given the fee waiver to my counselor last month but that I understood and the same lady me mailed again saying if I can fax it as soon as possible, they can still consider me. Soooo relieved!!!
