Forgotten Resume

I took a college class at my local university and did moderately well, so I sent the transcript to all the colleges I applied to, except one (Caltech), my top choice. I didn't because I know Caltech rarely gives credit for applications, and I was convinced by certain people involved in my application process that it was worth saving the money. I let the deadline pass, and yesterday (5 days after the deadline), I was looking through more Caltech stuff online and saw that they do require college transcripts. I immediately sent them my transcript, in addition to an apology email to my state rep. I was already a long shot at Caltech (more-so than their other applicants). Was this mistake the final nail in my coffin?

It should not make a difference. Colleges are used to some of the components coming in a little late. As long as the application and any supplement was on time, and the transcript is only a week or two late, it should not affect your application.
