I'm fluent in 4 languages, but slacked off on two of them in high school and the first two years in college. I really, really, regret it. Language is NOT like riding a bike -- if you're already semi-fluent in a language, using it at least once a week will help keep all that hard work and knowledge from becoming for naught.

ive taken through Honors spanish 4 and have decided i will not continue. After 4 years of unled schooling in spanish, i realized i was learning it to learn it, not because i enjoyed it or wanted to work in latin american countries or spain. In the future i hope to be a diplomat and would like to specialize in japan and chinese speaking countries. So next year i am taking Japanese 3 and honors 4. I am taking Japanese 1 at U of chicago this summer in june, and thereafter am getting a private tutor.

I am a sophomore in Pre-IB/Challenge French III. By the time I graduate, I will have had 5 years of french.

I will have had 4 years of honors hebrew when i graduate next year

I'll be a HS freshman next year.

For senior year I will be taking AP French Literature, AP Spanish Language, and Chinese III, and that's if I don't study over the summer and test out.

7th grade - Spanish 1
8th grade - Spanish 2
9th grade - Spanish 3

10th grade - I quit Spanish because the class was too much work. lol

All three years of middle school Spanish count as one (stupid, isn't it), so that was Spanish I. Spanish II and III were freshman and sophomore year. I am finishing up my first year of AP Spanish Lit this year, continuing on next year.

I will hopefully be okay in Hebrew (self-teaching, or something) by the end of next year...

I know, like, ten words in French. All of them are in MC Solaar lyrics. :D

Latin 1 and 2 in 8th and 9th grade. Latin III this year (won't continue).
Spanish 1 and 2 in 8th and 9th grade. Spanish III this year (AP next year).
I'm taking Arabic on my own outside of school. It's damn hard.

i took apspanish my junior year, thats it.

I am currently in Spanish 4 but do not plan on continuing next year.

My school only offers Spanish, French and Latin. There is also German, but freshman can only enter into German 3.

I do hope to continue/start a language in college.

this is my 3rd year learning spanish.
I'm currently in spanish 4. next (school) year will be in IB S Spanish B

I have only had 2 years of Spanish (that's the most my school offers), but since I'm so interested in the language, I plan on minoring in it in college.

7-9th Grade: French 1-3
10th Grade, skipped French 4, did Pre-AP French

9-10: Japanese 1,2
11th (next year): AP French, Latin 1 Independent study
