Form 3A (cs, chem, phys, engin)

How is Form 3A evaluated? For example, how would an Admin Officer know how to read the response to the question “What concept in your anticipated major were you most proud of mastering?” or is this form forwarded to the respective departments. Should I explain that question in layman’s terms (assuming they don’t know the terminology within my major). Please respond; I have to send this in tomorrow! Thank you!

Respond how you think is appropriate. It’ll be the admissions committee reading it. The actual departments will only occasionally see supplementary material not asked for in the actual application.

The admissions committee members are all college grads, and some may have majored in the physical sciences. Since Brown is looking for promising scientists, I assume they find a way to have the essays read by people who will understand them.
