<p>i went to my D's checklist this morning to verify if the still " not received" items were finally "received" and i was shocked to see that another form is missing... like the Federal Verification Worksheet.. what is that now??? who has that form listed in the checklist? everybody? do you think it's not to late to send something now???( march 12).. please some thoughts??</p>
<p>I looked up what that form is, and apparently it’s for independent students…I doubt your daughter is independent if you are there to check up on her application and such. You should check up on that. I’m a dependent student and do not have that listed on my financial aid application status.</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure it’s basically a federal audit that financial aid offices give to a random sample of students.</p>
<p>From Columbia’s Website: “[If your status says] Verification Worksheet is missing:
Your FAFSA has been selected at random for Verification by the Department of Education. We are required by federal regulations to verify the accuracy of the information reported on your FAFSA form. In order to do this, you must complete a Verification Worksheet.”</p>
