<p>I have a question about formal events at USC. Are any formal dances/balls held? I know that there is a Snow Ball each year, but other than that, are there other chances to get dressed up for events held by the school? For example, I know that the Engineering kids have the Viterbi Ball...but I haven't heard about any others.</p>

<p>i think Snowball is semi-formal, but there were people that dressed somewhat formally (casual coat and tie). if anything, it wasn't taboo if you didn't have a tie or anything, and some people just wore nice, dark jeans and paired with a nice shirt. and if you're Latino, there's the Latino Student's Association Formal. other than those and the Viterbi Ball, i couldn't think of any others off the top of my head.</p>
<p>There are Greek formal/semi-formal events held throughout the year.</p>
