Currently my Eli account states that they have recieved all of my forms except one of teacher recommendations. However, on my Common Application account it states that both of the recommendations (and all school forms) have been downloaded by the college already. I also checked with both of my teachers and they have submitted all parts of their recommendation.

This happened to my son two years ago. His teachers electronically submitted their recommendation letters several weeks apart. The college downloaded one letter, but never went back to check for the second one. You can do two things: (1) Wait for an email from Yale telling you that a recommendation letter is missing. You then reply “It’s not missing, you just failed to download the second letter.” (2) Call the Admissions Office now and let them know both recommendation letters were electronically submitted, but according to your Eli account, only one letter is in your file.

Thanks for the advice! I’m glad that I’m not alone on this issue. Is it okay to be so blunt in terms of a response? And is it possible that one is just taking longer to process in the beraucracy? Because it says that they downloaded it (both recommendations) on 11/2/2012…

Is it okay to send an email as well? The automated message response stated that they have been recieving a large number of emails but a call wouldn’t make me seem fervent would it?

If it was me, I would call and speak directly with a person. You can always email them, but who knows when they will get around to reading and responding to your email. The people who work in Admissions are very nice and helpful. Don’t be afraid to call.

Hey! This happened to me, it was like this until today when they uploaded my ACT score and commonapp said downloaded by college a while ago. I emailed to check, but I do think that the Eli Account isn’t a live updater so there may be a delay! Don’t panic :’)
