Forms

Dartmouth's website for RD applicants submitting tax forms says wait for an update, but does anyone know how/where RD students send tax forms and other finaid forms? I know D participates in the IDOC, but CB hasn't sent me any info on it yet...

And if the EFC, as calculated by Dartmouth's calculator is much lower than that calculated by the FAFSA, will D base the finaid package based on the higher EFC?

bumppppppppp

If the parent contribution is higher under Federal Methodology (FM), as determined by the FAFSA Application, then Dartmouth must use the higher calculated FM figure.

Federal Income Tax Return(s) For Regular Decision:

Please check back for updated information.

^^ still waiting for updated info lol, it worries me b/c i believe all forms are due Feb 1st? and Collegeboard said it's suppose to send out additional info on how to send forms to IDOC

I believe that as a student applying to Dartmouth, you do not send your stuff through the IDOC (I know that returning students use IDOC because they are only required to file the profile once).

*** if you are a first-time, upperclass applicant for financial aid, you must register and complete a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE Application on-line at: <a href="http://profileonline.collegeboard.com%5B/url%5D.%5B/b%5D%5B/i%5D">http://profileonline.collegeboard.com.***</a></p>

Did you file your CSS profile with the college board?

Federal Income Tax Return(s) For Early Decision only

Send signed copies of all pages and schedules of you and your parents' (including your noncustodial parent) 2004 federal income tax returns and W-2 forms to the Financial Aid Office. Be sure your name and social security number are written on the top of the tax returns and on all other documents submitted.

Federal Income Tax Return(s) For Regular Decision:

Please check back for updated information.

Noncustodial Parent's PROFILE Application and Tax Returns

If your biological or adoptive parents are no longer living in the same household, your noncustodial parent should complete the Noncustodial Parent PROFILE Application on the College Board's website. The College Board will e-mail you instructions for completion of the online application to forward to your noncustodial parent. Your noncustodial parent's information will be inaccessible to you and your custodial parent.

Business/Farm Supplement and Tax Returns

If your parents are self-employed or own a business or farm, they should submit a Business/Farm Supplement from CSS directly to the Financial Aid Office by November 15 for early decision and February 1 for regular decision. Early Decision only: if there are corporation(s) or partnership(s), attach copies of the most recent business tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, K-1).

You can call the FA office at Phone: (603) 646-2451 to find out how to proceed. They really are very nice people and will tell you what to do.

SInce the website has not updated it's information,
I would send a copy to of my stuff the the FA office just to be on the safe side. Insert a return address post card to ensure the FA office got your stuff.
