<p>I 100% recommend FORTRAN over C++. C++ is nearly useless for MEs and CEs compared to the other two. Also, look into what your college already teaches. Every undergraduate ME degree that I have ever seen requires a CS course that teaches either fortran or matlab.</p>
<p>The only benefit to C++ is that it will teach you the basics of coding and will give you a good basis to learn many other languages off of.</p>
