forum etiquette

Seems to me I've recently seen a few cases where a poster has publicly quoted the contents of a PM (private message) to the rest of the forum. This concerns me. I am hoping that prior to publicly posting a PM , the recipient has asked the sender if they have a problem with that action.

Let's continue to respect each others right to privacy.

On the same track. I have been more than a little taken aback by some of the vitriol poured on each other by some of the adults on this forum. Quite apart from the fact that we should all be civil to each other at all times, what kind of example are we setting for the kids on this web site? If in doubt, aim low?? Such well educated parents should know better.
OK- off my soap box now! ;)

Where’s the like button? ;)

Thanks for putting things back on track zuzu’spetals! ;)

Given what I have seen recently, this post belongs in the “Prep School Parents” forum!!

Amen to that. This forum is a huge resource for good - we have so many viewpoints, and so many people who are in this to make things good for their kids and for other people’s kids. Please let’s make sure that we treat each others’ kids as we would our own, and treat each other as if we were speaking face to face. We can disagree - we can and we will. But we’re all in this together, because we’re all parents who want our kids to get the best education we can give them, and we want to surround them with others who share the goal.
