How do we go about getting sub-forums?
The way the Musical Theatre Forum has?

By school?
Or by instrument? vs vocal?
Or by subject? Instrument, voice, music ed, music therapy, etc
Or by teacher?

Do we need subforums? I kind of like educating myself about other areas of music.

Personally, my feeling is that this forum really does not have the usage that would warrant separate subforums. If you actually look at some of the specifc school subs in the MT section, there are a number with very little activity. At best, my guess is that the only break right now would be to distinquish between vocal and instrumental and composition, but then the rhetorical becomes where does a vocal music ed major post a question? A dual major pianist/composition aspirant? A student hedging twixt performance and ed? A didgeridoo player seeking both a BM and a BA in Old Norse? My initial reaction is that at present it is unnecessary. But that’s just my take.

I believe that within the [College Confidential - FAQ](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/faq.php) is a section that addresses how to generate a thread as a poll. Should anyone wish to do so, it could serve to “take” a general reading, at least of those that might respond.

[Community & Forum Issues - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/) is the forum to address forum concerns/problems and request changes technical issues.

And again, for those who do not know, I am neither a moderator or administrator. I just happen to live here.
