i just did it and it let me submit it, does that mean anything?! I also just got the email confirmation!

It let me do it too. I suspect it does not mean anything. We will see as I can’t get into the regular site to check my application status.

I don’t think it means anything. Plus, I’m not going to do it because I don’t want to send in an RSVP just for the sake of seeing if I was admitted or not. Sounds kinda shady. :P

i submitted my RVSP and got an email right away saying “Thank you for your RSVP for Triton Day 2012. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 7 at UC San Diego!”…does this mean i was admitted?

I now know pretty much for sure it does not mean anything as I did a oops and but in my UCSB id instead of my UCSD one and it took it. It even send me an email telling me I had registered for the event.

The website used to handle the RSVPs probably doesn’t check whether one is admitted or not…

Skeptical of this method. Don’t trust it, as I am positive it links nowhere to admission decisions.

Maybe so, I need to hear of a case in which this didn’t work to be sure.

Will give you props on the thought though!

I wouldn’t do this. But props to you for finding a way! :]

@kyleusc it will work every single time even if you are not logged in. Remember it asks for an email. I am actually a bit surprised that UCSDs computer system is so amateur.
