wanted to start a thread to see who got the non-Deans Honor Scholarships... post your award/stats

14 g tuition, 2 board

SAT: 1410
GPA: 3.47 W

I got a 'founders' award for $16,000/year; I applied through the free personal app only because it was free.
SAT: (the ones I sent in): 670/670/710, SAT II's: Math 1: 760, Lit: 710, USH: 740, they have gone up a bit though, which I'll send in hopefully for a bit more aid: 690/730/750 ~ 1420 ~ 2170

AP's : USH: 5, ArtH: 4, Port: 4, Stat: 4;

Now that I know more about the school I kind of want to go there and regret not fully trying on the application.

Dean's Honor (tuition + $3000)
SATI: 2340
SATIIs: Math2 800; Chem 800; Math1 780; Physics 800

D rec'd a Founders Award (applied for admission after DHS deadline).
Not sure what stats are wanted but here's a summary:

SAT: 2230 (1470), SAT IIs: Lit, Math L1, Bio-M: all in the 700s
NMFinalist, Nat'l Hispanic Scholar
5 on all APs to date
Unwtd GPA: 9th-11th: 3.6, 10th & 11th: 3.9 (tough freshman year...too much cheer/tumbling practice, not enough book practice)

State Board of Educ Academic Award and a bunch of District and School level awards, historical society scholarship, Varsity & competitive cheerleader (nat'l champ) plus the usual club president/founder/officer stuff, 200+ hours community service (hospital volunteer, ROPES highrope course camp counselor), 3 honor societies

matta: D got very interested in the school a bit late in the game too. But at least she knows about Tulane now and will seriously consider attending.

I'm in the same boat as lmom06's daughter. I decided to apply to Tulane on a whim and applied a day or two before the DHS deadline (did not have time to di it). Now I'm really interested!

I'm still very pleased; I received the Founders Award ($14k tuition, $2k board).

GPA: 3.65/3.7 (not sure if they used last semester's grades or not)
SAT: 600M 760CR 780W
SAT II: French w/ Listen 750 Lit 710

I also have a question:

Is receiving a scholarship an automatic acceptance into the Honors Program? Or is it completely separate? Has anyone heard yet?

DHS is an automatic acceptance to the Honors Program. I believe others will be hearing in March about Honors acceptance.

D received a DSA ($19,000+$3,000) -
GPA: 3.9 UW, 4.7W Class Rank - top 3%
SAT: 2250 SAT2: US History 780, MathII 730
National Merit Finalist

Founder's Award

D's statistics:

GPA 3.6 UW
SAT: 2190 (740CR/740M/710W)
National Merit Finalist

My daughter got the letter about Honors Program several days before she got her notice of DSA. I can't remember the exact timing, but anyway some notices have gone out to those who did not get Dean's.

All I've gotten so far is my letter of acceptance... I think thursday. Does more information about this come later or is this something I had to apply separately for and totally missed? :/

I live in the honors dorm right now and I don't know anyone here at least on my floor without at least the dsa

I got my honors acceptance a couple of days before getting the DSA letter.

Stats:
4.1 weighted GPA
34 ACT
SATs: World History-800/Math 2-800/US History-790

I got the DSA and an admit to the honors program. 2240 SAT, 4.9 GPA, IB full diploma candidate.

letueurcharme - the Founders and DSA required no separate application. Last year, my S heard about the DSA ~2 weeks after acceptance. The DHS (the highest award) required a separate application and project.

Thanks! Hopefully I hear back soon, I can't handle all this waiting! I'm such an impatient person, can you imagine me waiting for decisions that don't come until april!? lol

My DD got her Honors Program invitation letter a few days before receiving a DSA Scholarship ($19K + $3K) letter.

Rank: 14/403, GPA 4.34 wtd/3.85 unwtd, ACT 31, All State Musician, lots of awards, ECs, volunteering.

My daughter received her Honors Program letter yesterday (dated January 26??)
