<p>I'm a Founders Scholar too, and somehow I also got another University scholarship for $6,000, which was totally unexpected. :)</p>

<p>D received a letter in the mail today awarding her a Founder's Scholarship of $12,000 per year and a University Scholarship of $6,000 per year. Both are merit based.</p>
<p>Stats: ACT 31 SAT 1400/2150 GPA 95+ Top 5% of class</p>
<p>I have no idea what the University Scholarship was for; I'd guess just general "academic achievement" or something. I was notified on Wednesday (I think?) by snail mail. Quick stats: 1570/2290 SAT, 4.35 W/4.0 UW GPA, 1/160 class rank, well-rounded but not outstanding ECs/leadership.</p>

<p>OK, so now I'm laughing at myself. My S was one of the early ones to get his acceptance e-mail last week (Newhouse). Now I'm obsessively checking this thread and wondering when and if he will get a scholarship letter :o Guess I'll just follow the "patience" advice I gave others a week ago!</p>
<p>geezermom: it seems like the mail is extremely quirky from Syracuse this week....I can't imagine he won't get a scholarship; just getting into Newhouse his stats have to be scholarship material....(don't have any idea though...stats..)</p>

<p>founders (12000) +the 6000 one. 2030/2400 SAT loll. it's CLEARLY not all about the SAT score..</p>
<p>Founders + University with 1980/2400 and some really good extra curriculars/leadership stuff.</p>
