four applicants ED

okay, so not many people apply to ivy leagues from my school. It is a good school, but most good students just apply to UVA, Chapel Hill, Duke or Willaim & Mary. This year I was the first one to decide back in July that I like Princeton the most, and that I will ED.

Now three other people are applying too....mostly getting interested after hearing it from me.

One of the other student is an IB Diploma student too, is the co-President of Latin Honor Society, has been in Young Democrats and It's Academic (a trivia club).

Second person has higher SATs than mine, and is the president of the Model U.N.

Third person I do not much about.

All of us are interested in Woodrow Wilson or Political stuff and then going on to law school.

We have this amazing teacher who is a Princeton alumnus, and I asked him for recommendation first week of school. The other three are now getting recomenndation from him too.

I was just wondering, that should I only expect one (if any) of us to get in? Does Princeton compare all the applicants from the same school against each other?

i had the same question...there's a girl who's brother went to princeton at my school, and she thinks that gives her an edge, so she's applying ed too...does it make a difference that we're from the same school?

yes, princeton does compare applicants from the same school, my counsellor told me that top schools i.e. harvard, princeton, yale, etc. usually ask the prestigious high schools about the students and they usually ask for recommendations. i know for a fact that they do that to our high school.

Lol thank god my high school isn't prestegious (public). Someone is applying this year who is insanely smart and if he doesn't get in, I don't know how I will (except my ECs have a pretty big edge over him). Thankfully I'm applying next year but it would be horrible if they whipped out his application to compare to mine ::shudders::

Last year my High School sent four kids to Pton. We are the best public school in penn. so it is understandable. But, it is wise to point out that three out of those four where recruited athletes.
