Hello everyone,

I have four free score reports from my last SAT testing that expire today and was wondering if I should send my previous SAT score (2190) to my safety schools or if I should wait? I know two schools I'm going to send it to for sure but should I send this score to UM, UF, or Tulane? Or should I wait until I retake and, hopefully, improve before I send these scores to them? Would it hurt me to send this score to any of them? I'm an URM if that affects anything.

Thanks for your input,

Update: It says that my SAT Subject Scores (Which I don’t know yet) have to be sent too. It says they are enforced, I feel confident about them but should I send them anyways? My safety schools don’t require subject test scores, so would it be fine to send them anyways?

If they don’t require them, but they’re good and you send them anyway, then it’s just icing on the cake

@shawnspencer I’m hoping they’re both good but if one is in the 600s it won’t kill my application to safety schools right?

You shouldn’t have any problem to send scores to colleges with score choice option (if the college allows it.) and you should use those 4 scores because it’s worth $46. make collegeboard work man! lol

you can use score choice by doing this (if you don’t know how to do it):

log into the MySAT then send scores to college now > when you’ve selected all 4 universities, procede to next page where you’ll see options with labeled “which scores” to send? under that “all scores” change it to the scores you want to send or send them all.

and most of the colleges use superscore method, it won’t hurt to send lower score. and 2190 is good. it won’t hurt. if you improve later, send scores then, college will use that score.

@drexter All right haha I’m going to send them, when I go to the score choice it lets me remove my March SAT (the one I want to send) but not the subject tests scores (says they are enforced) which I’m iffy about because I don’t have the scores but I’m going to send them anyways.

@SATandAps did you take subject tests in June? then you can’t remove them.

I did, but I sent them anyways to my first two safety schools whats your opinion on sending them blindly to UF, UM, or Tulane?

with 2190 you’re likely to get a full tuition at tulane if you apply during early action I think. and 2190 is above the 90th percentile of other two. send to those. you’ get into all of the schools you mentioned if you have grades to back up.
