Four questions about USC

Hey, guys,
I have questions,
In order to transfer to USC, Do i need to take a calculus class?
I am a East Asian Major student, and my GPA is now 3.67/4.0.

Questions.

Should EAS students take a calculus class to transfer to USC?

For Category III. Scientific Inquiry, what kinds of classes did you guys take or taking now? Is that ok to take GEOL 107Lxg Oceanography?
That is what i am thinking of now. Some people recommend me to take either physics or biology but i am not really sure about it.

Each school has different codes or names of classes, is that true if i take a class with higher number for general requirement then it is going to be easier? for example, i am trying to take Music 100, but someone says taking Music 200 or 300 might be a better choice.

I have read catalogue of USC, but they say there better not to be any kind of No or PASS credit for requirement course. Currently, i am in Japan now, however, do you guys think taking some courses in Japan might be negative thing for this transfer admission? I am worried because if i take some courses here in Japan, courses taken here might be PASS/NO PASS credit.

Thanks for reading guys.
Have a great day!
Please reply something good here
I am thinking of tranfering to USC after my second year in college.

are you attending a 4 year college or a ccc? are you attending college in japan?
sorry i wasn't very clear after reading number 4 where you are going to school exactly. I think calculus is recommended even though it states you only need alg2 w/ trig as a min. requirement. Oceanography is perfectly fine. In response to number 3 i'm not very sure, so hopefully someone can explain this. also if you are at a ccc go on the usc website and you can look up your school and see which courses transfer to usc and which ones are equal to each other. it has been very helpful in my planning for the summer and fall as i'm going into my first year at ccc with the hopes of transferring into usc as a sophomore. good luck.

Thanks very much fight_on1. I am a student in 4 year country which is a public university in the United States. I am not an international student, but going to be a citizen this year. I was thinking of taking some courses here in Japan, but i think it is not good way to do. Anyway, thanks for you reply. I really appreciate it. Good Luck for your every work!
