Hi,
I'm wondering if it would be bad to have too many transcripts when applying to college. I'll have one from my high school, one from an online school I took classes from over the summer, one from a local community college, and another from another local college (not community).

I've taken classes from 3 of the schools and so will send in those transcripts definitely. I'm deciding if I should take classes at the 4th school (the non-community college) or if I should just continue classes at the community college so as to have less transcripts. What do you suggest? Is 4 transcripts excessive or does it not really matter? Also, will it seem weird that I've taken so many classes outside of my high school (some of which are academic and some of which are kinda random... like an art class even though I have no interest in art)?

Thanks so much!! Any replies are greatly appreciated.

Send all 4. They will ask for them anyways.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear the first time. I edited my post but basically I haven’t actually attended all 4 institutions yet. I’m asking if 4 is excessive so that I can make a decision to only attend 3 of the institutions or all 4.

If u need to go to all4 schools then do it. Having too many transcripts is not bad.

I mean I don’t NEED to go to all 4 schools, but I want to. Will it seem weird that I’ve taken so many classes outside of school, some of which are pretty random in my opinion?

Ok so what would be the point of going to so many schools like if u don’t need it? It won’t look bad but it may look like a lack of commitment if u don’t NEED to go to all 4 schools. But that’s my opinion.

Because I took classes outside of school to fulfill certain requirements to colleges I wanted to apply to, but then that college changed its requirement and now I no longer need those classes, so it’ll seem like I’m just taking random classes but I actually had a purpose.

Don’t worry about this. Their filing systems can handle it.

Just be sure to keep track if those colleges, because you will need to order transcripts from them if you ever apply to grad school.

Thanks happymomof1, I’ll keep that in mind!
