Hey!
I'm going to be a junior in highschool. I want to major in business as a undergrad. I finished spanish 3 and was debating whether to take spanish 4. I dont think i will get an A in spanish 4. Probably a B+. Should i stick to spanish even if it will lower my gpa? or should i take a business class and get an A? i wanted to apply to NYU stern.

Is the fourth level required? Not by Stern or most colleges. Would it look good to have a fourth, likely if grade is decent.

A different issue is your mentioned alternative: “a business class.” I do not know what you are referring to but be aware it is a misconception for a high school student to believe that he needs business classes in high school to get into a university’s business college. In fact, unless you are talking about economics, which is considered a social science and not a “business” class, or something similar, you might be talking about a course that not only won’t impress Stern but will be ignored by Stern for the purpose of determining admission and the A you get in it will not be used by Stern to calculate your high school GPA.

They want to see core college prep courses. That means courses that qualify as math, English, foreign language, lab science, or social science (history, economics, and the like). Other courses and grades in them usually mean little or nothing to determining admission.
