Hello! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to all of you Cal Admits!!! :D

I've been reading a few threads and trying to decide whether to do FPF or not. I have some questions, if some don't mind answering...

1) If I do FPF, would the tuition for the semester be the same as if I was a regular admit or would it be lower/higher?

2) I've read that most FPF courses off-campus, a few blocks away. If I get a dorm at Berkeley, would it be convenient to walk to my FPF classes or is it significantly better to take public transportation there?

3) Would I still be able to participate in any welcome activities that take place in the beginning of the fall semester?

THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance!!!
Congratulations to everyone again! :]

The only difference if you do FPF is that your classes (except R&C) are off-campus, along with some extra fees. That’s it. If you get into Unit 2, the building is across the street.

FPF was worth it. I actually kind of think the classes are BETTER than the ones on campus - they are smaller, and in many cases the professor actually grades your papers and teaches the sections

FPF classes are like someone said right across from Unit 2 - it’s a really short walk, probably shorter than going onto most of the main campus if you are in the Units

It’s more expensive, but with the recent tuition hikes, probably not by that much (unless FPF also increases their fees)

Welcome activities - all of them xD, you’re not excluded from anything.

P.S. If you’re considering FPF, or leaning towards it, decide quickly, spots fill up quickly. Send in your request ASAP
