do you guys have an estimate of how many lottery numbers there are total?

I got Bowles Hall, and I rather have Unit 1,3, foothill, or CK. >.> Bowles was my last option follow closely by Unit 2. T_T

And yes, I send out a transfer request.

Bowles is a great place. It is literally right across the street from campus. The dorms in Bowles are much, much larger than any Unit dorm, and plus it is relatively cheap.

A large number of FPF students end up in Bowles/Stern. Though they are far from FPF, come spring you will enjoy just how close they are to campus.

BTW all attempts to transfer out of Bowles/Stern as an FPF student are futile

woo!! I got Unit 2 Triple and my lottery number was 19. I was so happy that I got a unit that I accepted right there.

So does anyone know when they give out further information, like our room mates?

stealingsunshine: i called and they said that the next batch will most likely be out a few days after july 13th. They got up to the 160’s yesterday.

has anyone received a stern offer? for some reason I haven’t heard of one yet but I’ve heard a lot of bowles and CK and foothill offers, plus a couple of unit offers

i got a stern triple :/

i got clark kerr triple, but i REALLY want one of the units. does anybody know what the chances are of me getting a transfer?
and if i accept a housing offer, does that mean that i HAVE to be in cal housing, or can i still go into a private dorm like westminster?

my friend got a unit 3 triple! lucky :(

@rebecca, I think you’re supposed to decline the offer if you’re going to do off-campus housing like westminster

booo I want a unit 3 triple! D:
instead I have to wait haha

Hey guys stick it to the man and deny your housing offers! Telegraph Commons is a great alternative and imagine how awesome it would be if a bunch of FPF people live there. It’s also much closer to the FPF building than Bowles Stern or Foothill :).

Bowles, Stern, and Foothill (Unit 4) are literally just across the street from campus. Getting to FPF from Unit 4 may be a pain (though you should just use the buses to get to Bancroft&Bowditch and then walk down Bowditch), in spring you will truly be able to appreciate Unit 4’s proximity to campus

i requested a transfer but i havent gotten a reply yet, should i call housing?

I think if they don’t reply to you, it means they’ve added you to the list? Cuz I sent in a transfer request right after accepting, and then they replied to me saying I hadn’t accepted my offer yet and not to send a request unless I had (which was weird, cuz I had accepted my offer…but w/e) so then I sent in a second request, and I didn’t get a reply. so i think unless there’s a problem they won’t reply to you.

just so you know, from prior experience, you will all fail at getting your transfers. FPF students rarely get housing transfers, and if you do it will be after you actually moved in to your initial offer. (and then if you do actually move out, your roommate(s) might think you are a dou.chebag)

well my request was so i could be with my roommate, who’s in foothill, so maybe my chances wont be that bad?

Nope, that is not a valid reason for them. They don’t try to accommodate people like that so they can be with their requested roommates. Two of my friends tried that for their freshman year and failed. (one was fall admit, one was fpf)

Yea, from everything Ive heard fpf never get their transfers, unless it has to do with a physical disability of some kind (which you would have brought up when you originally applied for housing).

Unit 4 for fpf: meh
Unit 4 for full-enrollment: awesome! Especially if you’re a science, math, business major.

Oh, and if you’re in Bowles, apply to be the Assistant Social Secretary Head of Light Entertainment (A.S.S.H.O.L.E.), it’s a comedian who performs before each weekly meeting. I did it back in fall 2006!

@hmmidk thanks :]
