Hi everyone, I'm a spring 2012 admit (molecular bio major in the College of L&S), and I've got to choose between FPF and CC for this fall.

My question is.. with the following AP scores: AP Calculus BC-5, AP Spanish-4/5, AP English-4/5, would FPF be worth the extra cost, considering the course availability at FPF vs CC, and my major?

Any advice/input is appreciated.

Thanks!

are you premed? (this is very important)

Some people have been saying the FPF is full already.

If you want to take lab science courses (e.g. Chemistry 1A, Physics 7A or 8A), or math higher than 1B (which a 5 on BC allows), those are not available in FPF, but are likely to be available at a community college (see [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) ).

If you are a pre-med, medical schools might frown on taking courses at a community college, though you may want to ask on the pre-med forums whether taking just Chemistry 1A and/or Physics 7A or 8A there (and then the rest of the pre-med courses at Berkeley) would be detrimental.

@high- Yes, I do intend on completing premed requirements
@ucb - fortunately, I got off the FPF waitlist. Thanks, i’ll post a thread in the forum now! :)

Also, I forgot to mention that I have taken quite a few college courses throughout high schools. By the end of this semester, I will have 16 units total (PSY 101 (3), GEO 100/Human Geography (3), PHY 130/General Physics I (5), PHY 132/General Physics II (5))

If those courses were at a community college, use [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) to match them up with Berkeley courses. Since you did not mention which school you took them at, no one here will know what the course numbers mean.
