Just wondering how hard it is socially if you're not in a frat to go out at night/be a part of the party scene? Since the campus is largely Greek it seems like if you're not Greek then you're in a tougher position.

Also, If you do join Greek life, when do you move into your house? Are you required to stay in your dorm room until the end of that year, then move into your Greek house, or what?

You live at the house starting the sophomore year if you want. Or just live wherever. Your level of commitment to the frat is your own choice once you’re in.

As for your other question, use the search function

“Greek” are expected to live in the fraternity houses or sorority lodges their sophomore year.
It’s a plus, considering the sophomore dorms are generally less attractive than the freshmen dorms.

Don’t worry about Greek life at this point. Rush is not until second semester, by which time you will know whether or not you want to participate.
