<p>does anyone know if the fraternity smokers (open houses) are saturday or sunday? i saw a calendar that said saturday but i got an email saying sunday... whats the sitch?</p>
<p>fall smokers are sept. 9th on sunday. fall rush is ONLY for sophomores and juniors. i would wait until spring to rush because there are a lot better houses to choose from and its a lot more fun.</p>
<p>Most houses that fall rush need more people and are rather desperate, hence they may not be as good.</p>
<p>that's rather unfair to say...I honestly don't believe a frat is "good" or "bad" per se...it just fits some type of people. If you are a freshman...wait. Otherwise, can't hurt to check it out.</p>
<p>uhh...appleapple, let's be realistic here....the "bad" houses do fall rush because they couldn't recruit enough members during spring rush (that's the only reason)</p>
<p>yea apple, theres really no need to try and be politically correct in this situation. if its a relatively good house, theres no way they'd have a fall rush. also a lot of houses have non formal rush event all throughout the semester in the form of monday night football parties, thirsty thursday, etc. these are prime times to meet brothers in different houses and get a feel for what its all about and where you fit. i suggest doing that and not participate in fall rush. theres a really good chance you'll regret not pledging in the spring.</p>

<p>went by a couple houses and didnt see any activity.... so came back... weird... im a sophomore transfer student just looking for a niche in this desolate town haha, any other fall rush event opportunities coming up?</p>
